Jalen Clark is your average sixteen-year-old guy. He goes to school, hangs out with his friends, and enjoys doing reckless things. However, on the night of his seventeenth birthday, he decides to go to the Guilty Remains Haunted House with his friends. As the night continues, he comes to the realization that A, he has a crush on one of his closest friends, and B, the “mannequins” are real.
Sariyah Jacobs, a sixteen-year-old varsity volleyball libero and self-taught skater went along with Jalen for his birthday/Halloween celebration. She is the one who sees the bodies are real, as well as the fact that Jalen might like her as more than a friend. With Jalen’s help she decides to investigate and find out what is really happening behind the scenes.
In an attempt to uncover the truth behind Guilty Remains, Jalen and Sariyah are forced into a number of difficult situations. Will they figure out their feelings for each other and what’s really going on at the haunted house, or will their remains end up on display next?
